Hi, I’m Jyoti - a personal trainer in Wanstead
I run a friendly home studio here in Wanstead where I coach both one-to-one and small group strength sessions. Alongside this, I also teach classes in a few local spots, making it easy for women in the area to find something that works for them.
My aim is simple: to create a welcoming space where women of all ages and levels can train, feel supported, and build real strength and confidence — without the pressure of a big gym.
My story
I’m Jyoti — a mum of two, 45, and like many women I’m spinning plates most days: kids, work, house, school emails and trying to hold it all together. Some days I wake up feeling strong and focused, others I’m running on coffee and determination. But I’ve learned that moving my body is what keeps me balanced — physically, mentally, and emotionally.
Exercise isn’t just something I do; it’s what helps me cope. It keeps my energy up, my hormones in check, and my mind clear. I know how hard it can feel to start, especially when life is busy or motivation is low. That’s why I created Fit by J — a place where women can train in a supportive, realistic way that fits into real life. My goal is to help you feel stronger, more confident, and in control — inside and out.
My approach
I believe fitness should feel supportive, not intimidating. That’s why I keep my classes small — no more than eight women — so everyone gets the attention they need. It means you’ll never feel lost in the crowd, and I can adapt things to suit your level.
I focus on building strength, endurance, and core stability in a way that feels achievable, even if you’re just starting out. Sessions are challenging, but always encouraging — my aim is to help you feel proud of what your body can do.
Above all, I want every woman who walks through my doors to feel comfortable, motivated, and part of a friendly community.
My studio
I run my sessions from a private studio in my garden here in Wanstead. It’s a welcoming space equipped with everything you need to train safely and effectively — from free weights and benches to state-of-the-art kit for strength and core work.
Because it’s private, you get the benefits of a fully equipped gym without the crowds or distractions.
